Job Summary
Marketing.com is seeking a Sr Web Designer with a development background, who is hard-working and motivated to create original designs and help bring them to life through code. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas for our clients in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our team, you will work with the marketing team and back-end developers to create websites and visual elements that are in line with our clients’ branding. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded, self-starter with a positive attitude, who can see their projects through from concept to completion while working against tight, fast-changing deadlines.

What you will need
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in graphic design – agency experience a plus
  • An elevated graphic design aesthetic
  • Exceptional attention to detail – this is a must-have
  • Expert in all things Adobe!
  • Sound understanding and experience in Content Creation
  • Sound understanding and experience in art working for print and digital production
  • A collaborative and positive attitude
  • Organized, and efficient with the ability to deliver on time and within deadlines
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Design and develop responsive web pages from scratch or using a CMS framework such as WordPress
  • Launch and Maintain Websites
  • Take ownership of front-end components – from architecture to development, deployment and maintenance
  • Work with a team of writers and designers
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide valid solutions
  • Design graphical elements such as logos, icons, and infographics
  • Design and build marketing collateral – both print and web
  • Perform quality control on provided site content
  • Test and improve the design of the website
  • Ensure usability across all device sizes
  • Ensure that websites are optimized for search engines prior to going live
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across all our Creative teams to elevate our brand across all assets
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in web design and development
  • Fundamental understanding of frontend development – ability to communicate effectively with developers
  • Fluent in responsive, modern web design best practices, information design, and usability
  • Ability to work from concept to finish – from wireframing to handing off the designs to the development team while communicating UX/UI goals effectively
  • Experience in related industry (advertising, marketing, etc.) a plus
  • Experienced with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript & jQuery
  • Experienced developing responsive websites with (solid understanding of Bootstrap framework is a plus)
  • Experienced with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver
  • Experienced with WordPress (Theme/plugin creation and modification is a plus)
  • Understanding of basic SEO principles
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair code
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/deadlines at once
  • Must be organized and able to work independently as well as with a team and willing to mentor junior designers
