The Senior Manager of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) leads and deploys the SEO strategy for all Brother business units in the US and Latin America subsidiaries. This role also leads in sharing and helping global teams drive best practices for both Front and Back End SEO strategy. Additionally, the Senior Manager of SEO leads in orchestrating the SEO strategy and execution for all SEO related activities that drives organic growth of natural search through an optimized mix of SEO strategy, practice, and execution as well as analytics and reporting.

Acting as the true SEO subject matter expert and leader, this person ensures high volume, organic growth as well as ensures best practices for both Front End and Technical SEO executions and strategy while providing robust analytics and reporting on the impact of all SEO initiatives.
The Senior Manager of SEO is held accountable for a deep understanding of business priorities across the various business units and defines/implements SEO strategies and reporting on the impact. The ideal candidate has a true passion for SEO and not only executes both content and technical SEO initiatives but also educates cross functional teams on SEO and its relevant importance for a business units’ growth.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Leadership

  • Own and drive the SEO strategy and roadmap for Brother’s digital properties across North America
  • Utilize a variety of insight and reporting tools to provide a strategy roadmap for SEO content initiatives for Brother business units to drive traffic and engagement
  • Constitute as the SEO leader within the organization for both content and technical SEO best practices, sharing learnings and insights across the global organization
  • Function as lead for our SEO vendors and partner, actively engaging and challenging them for SEO results and reporting
  • Stay current on the SEO landscape and industry, sharing emerging trends and tools to help drive SEO best practices for Brother
  • Define, plan, and build SEO team- understanding needs, capabilities, and bandwidth for a global SEO best in class team for future years to come
  • Collaborate with business units team members to solve SEO problems and identifying opportunities, providing optimization recommendations and forecasts for traffic impact

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Expertise

  • Grow organic traffic through front and back-end SEO tactics and deployment, sharing results and telling the SEO story to leadership teams
  • Consult with cross functional teams to identify SEO initiative needs and opportunities
  • Maintain and own relationships with key SEO vendors for analysis of SEO health for our digital properties
  • Identify, analyze, and capitalize on SEO opportunities for our business as well as moving quickly to solve for SEO gaps and shortfalls on our digital properties
  • Work closely with IT, UX/UI, Web Operations and Paid Media teams for integrate SEO elements across cross functional team initiatives
  • Evolve SEO strategy and operations for Brother into a true SEO center of excellence that maximizes traffic and revenue opportunities for Brother and its business units

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Analytics and Reporting

  • Monitor and ensure proper keyword ranking performance for Brother digital properties
  • Provide consistent and actionable recommendations for our site structure, content design and keyword/link strategies as well as content deployment
  • Assist cross functional teams and leadership teams with understanding SEO concepts and initiatives through storytelling and reporting
  • Analyze SEO data sets and trends to identify SEO roadmaps and priorities, reporting on impact and results
  • Work with digital teams for true A/B testing impacts and results, reporting on lifts and dips in traffic from testing matrices

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent experience) in SEO, Digital Marketing, Analytics or a related field

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in SEO including content and technical skillsets Front and Back End SEO direct experience
  • 1+ years of Experience in leading SEO teams or initiatives and managing large, complex site: Team lead, agency management, consultant management, +1,000,000 pages, multiple business units-preferred

Software/Technical Skills

  • On Page/Site SEO tactics – (navigation, linking, metadata, URL structure, etc.)
  • Technical SEO Expertise – (schema markups, redirects, site mapping, mobile friendly, duplicate content, crawling)
  • SEO Analytics Tools Expertise – (search console, google analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Conductor, Ayima, Schema)
  • UX/UI and Core Web Vitals – Site Speed, Site Health, Quality Scores, and other SEO KPIs
  • SEO front and back-end expertise that drive improving organic growth-preferred
  • Off-site SEO tactics – (site extensions, local listings, backlink strategies, etc.)-preferred

Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to fluent read and analyze Schema markups and define areas of opportunity
  • Strong analytical skills for SEO related data (create actionable items out of data insights)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication & ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to educate and evangelize SEO to any audience
  • Data driven and test and Learn Mentality. Natural curiosity and passion from SEO KPIs and impacts

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.

  • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $125,000 – $150,000 per year
  • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
  • This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
