At GP Strategies, we’re looking for an SEO Specialist.

GP Strategies’ SEO Specialist works closely within the web team to create and maintain our portfolio of web properties. Collaborating closely with the SEO Manager, this role helps to improve SEO across the Group, including a focus on strategic planning and implementation.

You’ll also have the opportunity to support other members of the web team from time to time – our data analyst, our UX team and our developers.

  • SEO – From helping to craft SEO campaigns and improvements to supporting the content team through implementation and analyzing the results of the campaigns, you will be a key part of search engine optimization for the variety of brands in our portfolio. You’ll have support, guidance, and mentoring from our SEO Manager in all aspects of this, with a particular focus on strategic planning.

You’ll carry out keyword research, competitive research, and technical fixes on site. An advanced understanding of spreadsheets and Google Analytics is required. Knowledge of Data Studio will be useful, though we will provide some training and guidance on this. Your role will also involve offering proactive content suggestions to enhance overall SEO strategies.

  • Other responsibilities – You’ll assist other members of the web team where required. For instance, that could involve carrying out occasional CSS changes on some of our sites, performing speed audits, assisting our data analyst in carrying out tests.

Skills needed:

  • Experience using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush, GA, GSC, and TagManager.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to speak to a range of people – including stakeholders, to ensure a strong output.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Self-starter.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to pivot to projects as needed.
  • Collaborative spirit. We’re looking for a team player.
