Overview
Chelsea’s Messy Apron is one of the largest food websites on the internet today. The site attracts millions of viewers each month and has a strong presence on social media and google search with reputable brand awareness. As an SEO manager you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the company’s overall SEO strategy. You will report directly to the owner of the company and work closely with the production assistant and copywriter on staff, often collaborating on various writing and marketing projects. This is a new role that was previously one of the owners’ responsibilities, so there is an enormous opportunity to define the role and have significant impact. This position will play a huge role in driving our company’s growth and success.
Responsibilities
· Plan, develop and implement our SEO strategy
· Work towards organic search optimization and ROI maximization
· Regularly perform thorough keywords research
· Identify key SEO KPIs
· Monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs
· Prepare and present reports regularly
· Identify our buyer persona to better target identified audiences
· Identify problems and deficiency and implement solutions in a timely manner
· Suggest improvements in process and productivity optimization
· Participate in strategic planning with the team to build and develop the brand.
· Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices
Qualifications
· 5+ years of SEO experience, preferably in news, publishing, or agency
· Bachelors in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a related area (not required, but a plus)
· Proven track record. Applicants must submit websites that demonstrate their SEO ability and be prepared to discuss
· Expert user of web analytics tools and concepts, particularly Google Analytics and Google Search Console
· Experience using search tools and platforms (e.g., Content King, SEMRush, Sistrix, Screaming Frog, Search Console, etc.)
· Compelling written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
· Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel
· Strong project management and organization skills, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
