Job Description

Role Summary: Come help us tell Summit’s story and have a positive impact on the business. The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing organic digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and drive customer acquisition and retention. This individual will work closely with the Director of Marketing to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention through all of Summit’s digital channels. Additionally, this person will be tasked with overseeing Summit’s social media accounts, email campaigns, SEO, and assisting with paid advertising.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and tailor marketing content used in campaigns across a variety of digital channels including email, social media, paid advertising, and summit.com to improve engagement and conversions
  • Conduct keyword research and optimize website content
  • Perform technical SEO audits to identify areas of improvement, such as site speed optimization, mobile-friendliness, and crawl errors
  • Address technical SEO issues related to server redirects, 404 errors, and canonical tags.
  • Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms
  • Optimize website architecture, including URL structure, internal linking, and sitemaps to enhance search engine crawling and indexing
  • Develop link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks and improve domain authority
  • Implement schema markup and other structured data to enhance visibility in search engine results pages
  • Manage and optimize local SEO efforts, including Google My Business listings and local citations
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams ensure high-quality, SEO-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience and search engines
  • Collaborate with web team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented on summit.com
  • Continually refine digital targeting and audience segmentation, finding the best-performing interests and attributes for different segments of customers
  • Work with team to optimize SEM efforts for better overall search marketing results
  • Set up goals within Google Analytics and track digital performance over time
  • Create landing pages and lead capture forms that drive conversions
  • A/B test social posts, landing pages, and forms to optimize conversion rates
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO, search engine, and digital marketing trends and algorithm changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing SEO
  • In-depth knowledge of On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO, and Technical SEO
  • Proficiency in a range of SEO tools and platforms, such as Semrush, Ahrefs, Similar Web, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Strong understanding of and experience using Google Analytics, Search Console, and Keyword Planner, etc.
  • Experience using data to inform digital strategy
  • Experience with social media analytics to track and measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • A good understanding of current digital marketing trends, both generally and within our industry
  • Ability to write clear and compelling marketing copy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Team player who enjoys collaboration

Beneficial Skills:

  • Proficiency using various marketing analytics tools and websites
  • Experience using Semrush and Screaming Frog
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience using Marketo or Hubspot is a plus
  • Familiarity using Drupal
  • Fluent in Spanish
