We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SEO Leader with prior digital agency experience to join our remote team. The primary focus of this role is to improve the organic visibility and search engine rankings of our agency’s website to enhance our online presence, attract organic traffic, and drive business growth through effective SEO strategies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Backlink Strategy: develop and execute strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable and relevant websites. This includes outreach, guest posting, building relationships with influencers and webmasters, and creating shareable content that attracts natural backlinks.
Content optimization: collaborate with content creators to optimize website content, ensuring it is valuable, relevant, and engaging for users. This includes incorporating keywords naturally, improving readability, optimizing headers and subheadings, and aligning content with user search intent.
Performance analysis and reporting: monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console to track organic traffic, keyword rankings, user behavior, and conversion rates. Analyze data and provide regular reports to stakeholders on the effectiveness of SEO efforts.
Staying updated on industry trends: keep up-to-date with the latest developments, algorithm changes, and best practices in the SEO industry. This includes staying informed about emerging technologies and trends that could impact search engine rankings and organic visibility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: work closely with web developers, designers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure SEO strategies are implemented effectively and aligned with overall digital marketing efforts and larger business objectives.
Digital Agency Experience: experience working in a digital marketing agency or a similar environment with exposure to diverse projects, clients, and industries, providing valuable insights into various SEO challenges and solutions
SEO Expertise: deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and best practices including staying current with the latest industry trends and algorithm updates
Backlink Strategy: demonstrated experience in developing and executing effective backlink strategies including acquiring high-quality, relevant, and authoritative backlinks from reputable websites to improve organic search rankings
Content Creation Skills: ability to create high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly content including expertise in keyword research, content optimization, and understanding user intent to deliver valuable content to the target audience
Onsite Optimization: proficiency in on-page SEO techniques, including optimizing meta tags, headings, URL structures, image alt tags, internal linking, and site speed optimization. The SEO leader should be adept at conducting technical SEO audits and implementing necessary improvements.
Data Analysis Skills: ability to analyze SEO data and metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO software to evaluate the success of SEO campaigns and make data-backed decisions
Communication Skills: liaise with other departments and stakeholders to align SEO strategies with broader business goals
