As a Senior SEO Specialist, you will be at the forefront of defining our digital footprint. Joining our dynamic Web Experience team, you’ll wield your expertise to craft and execute SEO strategies that amplify our online visibility, foster organic traffic, and propel our overarching growth ambitions. In this pivotal role, you’ll forge strong partnerships with Engineering, UX, Product, Analytics, and MarTech counterparts, collaborating closely to fine-tune and implement our SEO tactics. Your role is hands-on, involving the implementation of findings from technical analysis and data-driven decision-making to address complex SEO challenges directly. You’ll dive into data to uncover valuable insights, fine-tune optimization strategies, and drive our digital growth forward.

  4. Collaboration and Influence: Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams (Engineering, UX, Product, Analytics, and MarTech), you’ll leverage your expertise to influence key decision-making processes. This alignment drives our overarching growth objectives.
  5. Innovation and Adaptation: Staying informed about industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging best practices ensures that our SEO efforts remain innovative, adaptive, and ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

 

 

We are looking for people who have:

  • Technical Evaluations and SEO Insights: Conduct thorough technical assessments of international websites in multiple languages to pinpoint SEO issues and opportunities for enhancement, ensuring optimal performance across diverse regions.
  • Website Optimization: Optimize website architecture to enhance both crawlability and user experience, ensuring seamless navigation for search engines and visitors to access relevant content.
  • On-Page SEO: Create a guide to optimize meta tags, headings, and textual content to enhance relevance, with a focus on targeted keywords to improve overall content quality and readability.
  • Keyword Research and Targeting: Through keyword research aligned with user intent, identify opportunities for content optimization and expansion within our domain.
  • Performance Monitoring and Collaboration: Tracking rankings, organic traffic, and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement and growth. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement SEO strategies effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Utilizing standard tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Google Analytics, to analyze website metrics and user behavior data to extract valuable insights that inform robust SEO strategies.
  • Staying Ahead of the Curve: Remaining informed about industry changes and emerging practices, adapt the strategies to align with the evolving digital landscape and latest developments in search engine optimization.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in SEO. Mandatory experience with multilingual websites.
  • Profound knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with various CMS platforms including AEM, WordPress, Drupal.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest SEO trends and best practices.
  • Fluent in English.

The range below represents Wiley’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the UK, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
