We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and dedicated individual to join our marketing team. It is important that you are interested in people and collaborate well with others.
We are seeking an experienced Website Technician/SEO Front-End Developer to join our Stoneridge Marketing Team. This position will play a critical role in maintaining the company website for health and compliance while optimizing for search engines, improving organic search rankings, increasing quality website traffic while updating/maintaining the overall layout and design. In this role, you will perform regular checks, updates to plug-ins, identify any issues relating to coding and site performance, and ensure web pages and website structures are in line with both company strategy and SEO best practices. This role requires you to have SEO front-end developer expertise and have experience and passion for website design and performance. We are looking for someone who is assertive in pursuing the advancement of your own skills in this role.

A Day in the Life

      • Maintain and publish webpages
      • Establish and follow design guidelines, standards, and best practices
      • Maintain the appearance of website by enforcing content standards
      • Install and Manage tracking codes, web forms, rotating banners
      • Partner with the digital marketing vendor on SEO research, tactics, website design and strategy
      • Partner with digital marketing vendor and marketing team members on keyword research and on-page SEO optimization to improve content relevance and search engine visibility
      • Conduct audit and technical assessments to identify issues and opportunities for improvement
      • Troubleshoot identified technical issues for the website
      • Test and improve the design of the website to ensure that website design, layout, and code is optimized for search and user experience
      • Manage website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
      • Develop and execute technical SEO strategies, including optimizing website structure, mobile performance, and page speed
      • Monitor website analytics and summarize reports and observations around performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement
      • Effectively communicate with leadership to convey the value of website strategy and demonstrate the impact on their business goals, i.e. reporting on key metrics for success
      • Stay current on industry trends, search engine algorithms, and best practices to ensure our strategies are up-to-date and implement them

Preferred Qualifications

      • Degree in Digital Marketing Technology, Computer Science, IT or equivalent experience in a similar field
      • 3-7 years of work experience in Digital Marketing or with a Marketing Agency
      • Solid Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization strategies
      • Proven track record of implementing website performance strategies and tactics including improving organic search rankings, website traffic and conversions
      • Expertise in on-site optimization, technical SEO, and content optimization
      • In-depth knowledge of SEO tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, etc.).
      • Knowledge of CMS software, graphic design, website architecture, and integrations
      • Proficient in working with WordPress
      • Strong organizational and time management skills
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Must be a self-starter and motivated to learn

      • BONUS, knowledge of Microsoft business applications and the Microsoft Partner ecosystem
Work Location: This position is available on a REMOTE basis in the United States or REMOTE in Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan
