Position Description: The Company is looking for a Director of SEO to join its Growth Team. In this role as Director of SEO, you will develop cohesive SEO strategies designed to improve the Company’s search visibility across platforms. You will work across our portfolio, including a large website with a complex site architecture and a web application-based subscription product and you will also work on an install-oriented browser extension and mobile app, improving visibility in app stores, on social sites, and on search engines. The Director of SEO will also spearhead the Company’s initiatives relating to data challenges presented by the Company’s user-generated content and how to optimize that content for searchers.

Position Responsibilities include:

§ Be the Company’s leading internal voice on SEO. The Director of SEO will advise and inform the Company’s processes around product strategy planning and ideation, product design, growth marketing and community retention and revenue optimization.

§ Your primary mission will be to improve organic search visibility across the Company’s product set.

§ Perform competitive analysis, technical site audits, keyword research with the goal of continuously identifying trends, surfacing actionable insights to stakeholders and incorporating them into the Company’s overall strategy.

§ Ensure technical site signals are performant. Run site audits, monitor Google Search Console, optimize sitemaps, develop internal linking policies, improve the Company’s signals around site performance, core web vitals and UX.

§ Content marketing and link acquisition. Based on our topical ranking goals, build content strategies, build and run a content team and produce world class content that performs, gaining links, mentions and PR visibility.

§ Backlink portfolio optimization. Continuous execution of creative link building campaigns and link acquisition programs. Management of disavow files. Ensure that the Company has a healthy link portfolio over time.

§ Information architecture and internal keyword optimization. Partner with the Company’s UX and content operations personnel to optimize our commerce taxonomy and categorization and tagging systems for discoverability and SEO ranking goals.

§ Internal app linking strategy. Partner with UX and product to manage the Company’s overall cross-platform inter-linking strategy (native app, mobile web, subscription web app, desktop web, notifications, etc.) to ensure content discoverability and seamless user experience.

§ Monitor and report on SEO KPIs and performance across technical, on-page, off-page and ranking signals.

Position Qualifications include:

§ Six (6) + years of experience in SEO within a product-led SEO organization is a strong plus.

§ Fluency with technical SEO and analytics tools including Botify, Deep Crawl, Screaming Frog, Bright Edge, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush and Ahrefs.

§ Content marketing mastery. Ability to build and execute complex content strategies spanning multimedia, interactive and social channels.

§ Experience optimizing sitemaps, crawl budget, indexing polices, internal linking policies and operations, disavow files and core web vitals across a high production environment.

§ You’re forward thinking in your SEO strategies. Starting with the modern SEO strategy emphasizing branding, core value proposition, UX and conversions and extending beyond from there to emerging trends like voice, AI, community, mobile, location and A/R, considering their impact on SEO.

§ You know how to prioritize and surface actionable insights for internal partners for maximum SEO impact. You’re comfortable integrating with sprints and helping prioritize backlogs, track issues and QA.

§ Strong UX sense. You have experience optimizing landing pages and conducting conversation rate optimization. You’re comfortable working with designers and PMs, lending your SEO experience to help achieve an excellent product experience.

§ Exceptionally strong analytical skills.

§ Excellent communication skills.

§ Self-driven; always seeking to improve performance to grow he business and serve customers better.

§ Intellectually curious, particularly about digital marketing.

§ Highly accountable.

Position Compensation Package and Other Benefits:

Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
