The Senior SEO Growth Lead role blends account management, strategy development, and hands-on execution. While your deepest area of expertise is SEO, you understand how it works in tandem with content, CRO, and email to fuel long-term, profitable growth. Bonus points if you can execute on some or all of these organic channels as well.
As a key member of our Organic Growth team, you’ll own the client relationship and be the driver behind their long-term strategy while also evolving Flywheel’s unique approach to organic growth. Our client partners include some of the world’s top digital consumer brands, such as Good Inside, Native, Willful, and DUER—but more importantly, we only work with good people.
This is a full-time, remote-first position but applicants must be currently eligible to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Client Management—As the primary contact for a portfolio of 4-8 clients, you develop and oversee the execution of organic growth strategies that align with their business objectives. You’re comfortable with synchronous and asynchronous communication, ranging from written reports and emails to Looms and live video calls.
- SEO Strategy and Execution—You don’t just know how to do an audit and implement the findings, you are the driving force behind long-term growth strategies and can oversee their execution.
- Project Management—You have the technical chops to get in the weeds and execute the work yourself, but you’re also great at delegating to others and ensuring work gets done on time, on budget, and up to standard.
- Holistic Marketing Integration—You know that rankings and organic traffic are just a means to an end, the real goal is conversions and revenue. While driving the right traffic is your specialty, you know how other parts of the organic growth puzzle fit together and how to work with specialists in email automation, content, CRO, and analytics.
Qualifications
The right person has 5-8 years experience, including:
- SEO strategy development and execution, including experience as the primary owner of the strategy and outcomes
- Proven experience leading client and/or stakeholder relationships. Agency experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong ability to translate data into insights and present findings to management and executive-level stakeholders
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify and/or Webflow) and analytics tools (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio)
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
- Knowledge of how to integrate other organic channels (such as content, CRO and email) into a cohesive organic growth strategy
Bonus Points:
- Ability to execute on email automation, A/B testing, link-building outreach, and/or analytics implementation
- People management experience
