Job Description Summary:
Academic Partnerships is hiring an
SEO Manager to join our remote Organic Marketing team with our corporate office located in downtown Dallas. S/He will work closely with cross-functional team members in support of organic acquisition efforts to drive leads and enrollment for university partners.
Working in close collaboration with the SEO Director and Vertical Managers, the SEO Manager will support the development of new SEO strategies while driving organic reporting and key learnings to optimize AP’s partner organic marketing strategy. It is imperative that this person can lead efforts to solve complex SEO problems, moving quickly to implement ideas and deliver results. Dive into issues and incidents as they occur, perform ad hoc analyses as needed, and/or help escalate them to drive to resolution.
The ideal candidate for this position will have an advanced-level knowledge of SEO and a technical understanding of crawling/indexing, CSS/HTML, meta data, UX and content that influence organic ranking. The candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate organic performance and actionable insights. Preferred experience and knowledge in the education/higher education industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the SEO Manager include:
  • Collaborate closely with Digital Marketing Team and other practice groups to ensure successful project work is appropriately positioned for long-term success.
  • Define measurable acquisition-based SEO strategies for University Partners, including competitive research, technical SEO, web presence optimization, site structure, link acquisition strategies, measurement and performance.
  • Provide ongoing strategic oversight on organic marketing best practices and tactics that align with marketing goals and overall business objectives.
  • Provide detailed and analytical site performance reporting insights and on-page recommendations.
  • Monitor customer engagement and identify new ways to increase relevant search-demand while increasing engagement and conversion.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability leveraging Google Analytics to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Proven track record in delivering successful and cost-effective organic marketing programs, that lead to successful increases in organic traffic and on-page conversions.
  • Strong knowledge of standard and enterprise SEO tools, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Moz and Screaming Frog.
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS as they impact search crawl-ability and rank.
  • Intuitive project management and organization skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Work Experience:
  • High-level proficiency information architecture, data structure and web core analytics.
  • 4+ years of experience within an agency or company responsible for executing organic marketing strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in Google Analytics, Semrush, experience is a plus+
  • A combination of B2B (lead generation) B2C (e-commerce) D2C (direct to consumer digital marketing experience, ideal.
  • Experience and knowledge of SEO and how it plays into an SEM, Content Marketing and eCommerce strategies are seen as a huge plus.
Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:
  • Ability to logically prioritize.
  • Work involves standing, walking, climbing, stooping kneeling crouching and grasping. Repetitive movements with wrists, hands and fingers are necessary.
  • Repetitive work with keyboard/computer.
  • Performs all administrative functions expected at this level.
