We are currently looking for a Content Writer to join our editorial team and enrich our websites with new blog posts, guides and marketing copy. Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. If you’re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

While this position is remote, the training will be in-office and you will be expected to come in occasionally for meetings as well. We are looking for someone who lives in the state of Michigan and within driving distance to Westland.


  • Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
  • Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
  • Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
  • Submit work to editors for input and approval
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
  • Update website content as needed


  • Content Writers must have demonstrated writing experience, professional and/or academic.
  • The ideal candidate has experience writing for a web-based audience as well as a working knowledge of search engine optimization best practices and how they apply to content marketing
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and work collaboratively
  • Experience with persuasive creative writing, with short to-the-point attention grabbing touchpoints is preferred
  • Strong skills in reading, editing, grammatical review and proofreading
  • Goal Setting and Quota Management ·
  • Industry Knowledge is a plus ·
  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce) and ERM is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English or related field preferred ·
  • Being that this position is remote, the person must have a computer and reliable internet connection

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour
