As the Sr. SEO Marketing Manager, Direct to Consumer (DTC) Marketing, you will define, implement, and optimize strategies and tactics focused on driving consumer awareness, acquisition, and engagement via SEO and Content channels. Your key focus will be identifying opportunities for content and technical improvements, closing competitive gaps, building a link-building strategy, and expanding site content to drive long-term performance.

A successful candidate will have strong experience in search engine ranking factors, algorithms, and core SEO principles (a healthcare niche is preferable). Will need to leverage analytics and external market trends to define technical and foundational strategies that achieve key business goals. The Senior Marketing Manager will be required to have effective influence management and collaborating skills, including collaborating across multiple teams, 3rd party partners, technical engineers, and various levels. In a fast-paced industry, the ability to manage competing priorities, multiple roadmaps, and problem-solving skills are essential.
This role reports to the Head of Growth and will play a pivotal role in building Mira Organic Search authority, trust, and credibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute successful SEO and content strategies
  • Conduct keyword research to guide impactful approach to website content, landing pages, editorial content, and paid search copy
  • Determine and prioritize content schedule to ensure rapid production of new impactful content plus refreshing and optimization of existing (decaying) content
  • Prepare briefs for new articles, work with writers and e-commerce manager on content plan execution (we love Notion boards)
  • Audit for technical SEO issues and recommend fixes, working with a dev team on implementation
  • Monitoring performance data to ensure site health; partnering with internal teams to fix issues accordingly
  • Direct off-page optimization projects (e.g., link-building and url structure), including HARO pitches, guest posts outreach, skyscraper technics
  • Own, build and manage channel roadmaps leading content development and web optimization projects ensuring implementation is timely and high quality
  • Educate and closely collaborate with cross-channel partners (marketing, product, IT, design, analytics) to influence and execute against the roadmap
  • Measure and analyze channel performance and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to all levels (own organic blog revenue and leadgen OKRs)
  • Keep abreast of SEO and integrated marketing trends
  • Maintain and manage budget
  • Building regular SEO performance reports, monitoring and communicating KPIs, project statuses, and next steps.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Mass Communication or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of SEO experience with a focus on SEO content for consumer (health, wellness)
  • Proven track record of driving organic growth directly from your own efforts
  • Understanding of SEO best practices for copywriting
  • Technical understanding of how to effectively optimize content for Search (i.e. indexability, meta tags, on-page performance, optimizing for rich/featured snippets, and more)
  • Established track record of driving growth through content with ability to map content to customer journey
  • Understanding of channel content best practices including editorial, organic, social, paid search, and email
  • Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Semrush) and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Adobe)
  • Strong writing in English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting campaign planning, execution, and analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce and eCommerce-related analytics tools (Google Analytics/Amplitude).
  • Understanding and experience in the healthcare industry
  • Have passion around SEO and content with the ability to inspire others through your passion and evangelize its’ business impact to partners
  • Ability to effectively present strategy and performance metrics to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Highly skilled in keyword research methodologies, able to work through large amounts of data, and prioritize opportunities effectively
  • Leverage technology to deliver business goals and improved consumer experience
  • Data-driven with the ability to think deeply about challenging problems and use data/research to design solutions
  • Ability to develop strategy and tactical plans for a variety of internal/external stakeholders
  • Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables and aggressive timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are concise, candid, and professional
  • Effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills
  • Proactive self-starter; with sense of urgency to achieve results
  • Solid organizational and leadership skills

 

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:

  • Developing and executing SEO strategies to drive organic growth, with a keen understanding of intent across the customer journey.
  • Performing SEO audits, providing performance improvement recommendations and working with internal teams to implement (Ex. page speed, site architecture, metadata, tagging etc.)
  • Executing SEO content initiatives for ad hoc projects, such as devices, Ultra Home Internet, Affiliate, ensuring tactics are scalable and repeatable.
  • Optimizing content for websites, blogs, YouTube to drive organic performance, ensuring all content follows SEO best practices.
  • Conducting keyword research and collaborating on content strategy.
  • Monitoring performance data to ensure site health; partnering with internal teams to fix issues accordingly.
  • Building regular SEO performance reports, monitoring and communicating KPIs, project statuses, and next steps.
  • Keeping informed on industry trends and best practices, algorithm updates, competitive landscape, etc. apply insights to strategy.
  • Supporting ad hoc cross functional projects from an SEO perspective.

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of first hand SEO either in-house or at an agency.
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce and eCommerce-related analytics tools (Google Analytics/Amplitude).
  • Proven track record of driving organic growth directly from your own efforts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Deep experience with Google Analytics, Search Console and other industry-leading SEO tools (Conductor, SEMRush, DeepCrawl).
  • Expert at doing keyword research and competitor SEO analysis.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices for copywriting.
  • Technical knowledge of website architecture and SEO best practices, including off-site linking.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to carry out business communications.
  • Must work effectively with cross-functional teams to align strategies, activities, and timing.
  • Ability to collect, review, and distribute pertinent information to cross-functional teams. Including topline analysis, core algorithm updates, etc.
