Duties and Responsibilities


As a go-to person for all things pay-per-click (PPC), you’re a professional who will take our paid media department to the next level. You will own the growth and development of the paid media team as it relates to overall strategy, execution, add-on sales, and client and team success. You will ensure that the PPC department is developing innovative strategies to meet and exceed client objectives. You are the developer and driver of the paid media vision. You ensure that your team has the direction, tools, and support to achieve massive success for clients and themselves.
You will be the driving force behind the operational development and maintenance of department policies and goals that relate to operations, financial performance, and growth to ensure alignment with overall agency and industry direction. You are a seasoned influencer. You have a solid track record for creating success for those who surround you: your colleagues, your team and your clients.


You’re a seasoned digital marketing strategist who is able to stay on top of emerging trends, tools, and updates to best practices across the paid search industry. Furthermore, you fully believe in sharing the knowledge and foresight that you have with your team, and industry colleagues. You are a thought leader, and your colleagues and clients will depend on your expertise.


Responsible for executing client’s paid media strategy (search, display, remarketing) for all client’s assigned accounts, overseeing the accounts of other analysts within the department as well as supporting account manager, and team with overall budgeting and forecasting and planning per account and corporate planning
  • Building and optimizing paid search campaigns, including keyword generation, bid management, budget management, and reporting
  • Setting campaign goals, track performance, and make changes to support the overall objectives
  • Analyzing campaign data and deriving insights to improve the performance of search accounts
  • Creating and providing reports of campaign results to both internal and external teams
  • Working with other internal teams to ensure a cohesive strategy
  • Monitoring campaign spend levels on a daily and monthly budget
  • Coordinate regularly with organic SEO division to ensure full spectrum of online marketing strategy is executed
  • Build strong relationships with clients to ensure that their needs are constantly met and are congruent with company mission and vision
  • Work closely with the business development team to identify, qualify and close projects


Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Tenured, paid search professional with a deep understanding of how PPC fits into a holistic digital strategy, including how it relates to/impacts organic search, social, and landing page design/user experience, as well as how a digital marketing agency functions
  • Experience with using common industry platforms, such as Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush/Spyfu and bidding software
  • Experience with implementing effective automation processes, including bid strategies, AdWords experiments, scripts/rules, etc. that don’t compromise conversion/traffic quality
  • Hands-on knowledge of developing campaigns that are specifically designed to generate quality leads within client’s target CPA
  • A thorough understanding of PPC privacy/editorial policies, especially how they relate to industries of a sensitive nature
  • A passion for establishing benchmarks and goals in order to continuously optimize the performance of client accounts, and holding your team to similar standards
  • Demonstrated success of growing, mentoring and scaling a paid search team
  • Strong financial and operational background with an exceptional understanding of billables and project costing
  • Demonstrated success of driving new business opportunities; ability to identify cross and up-sell opportunities by partnering with paid search team members and articulating the value of services to prospective clients to close new projects
  • Exceptional presentation skills, ability to articulate a complex strategy to an audience of varying degrees of marketing knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to foster an exceptionally inclusive and high trust environment, resulting in the team’s ability to contribute independently to a shared vision and larger goals
  • Holistic and critical thinker; ability to foster high levels of cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience in recruiting highly skilled team members in an extremely competitive, relationship-driven niche market

  • Experience across other digital marketing channels including design, social, email, media, affiliate, RTB, SEO etc.
  • Experience managing PPC campaigns in highly competitive search industries (e.g.,
healthcare, legal, pharmaceuticals, real estate, etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of project management principles, processes and software (Preferred)
  • Project Management Certification (Not required but preferred)
  • Familiar with the lifecycle of web development initiatives
  • Experience with managing and performing quality assurance protocol.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage client partnerships while balancing operational concerns.
  • Ability to work on projects independently and on time.
  • Need for flexibility is crucial as priorities change.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to use third-party analytic tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and other software when necessary.
