Enterprise Technical SEO Manager

Summary:

Responsible for advancing the company’s eCommerce business and the SEO program by leading and executing strategies in the specialized area of Technical SEO, Site Audit, Local, and SEO Analytics and reporting. Accountable for optimizing the company’s websites for Google, Bing, and other search engines through organic search, for B2C, B2B, Mexico websites, and other international sites to be added as growth indicates. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience working on a large-scale B2C (preferably multi-channel retail with attribution to DIY store sales) or B2B website or agency equivalence with international exposure and coordination with third parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the strategic development and management of new and existing initiatives that will drive organic traffic, conversion, revenue growth, and profitability within the SEO program
  • Work closely with IT, Marketing, Merchandising, and other process managers on the Digital Experience teams
  • Define technical SEO roadmap and lead in execution. Communicate roadmap, performance, and plans to stakeholders
  • Ability to represent the SEO team in technical-level discussions with internal stakeholders, effectively communicating and gaining buy-in on product opportunities, needs, and expected outcomes
  • Define and manage the technical SEO auditing process and responsible for communicating to internal stakeholders
  • Conduct comprehensive, prioritized site audits and proactively identify on-page and technical SEO opportunities that drive organic traffic at scale
  • Monitor and analyze site performance using a range of SEO and site analytics tools, providing comprehensive reporting to internal stakeholders
  • QA of technical SEO implementations
  • Manage third-party relationships and efforts that support the SEO program
  • Take the lead on key technical SEO initiatives and projects for the organization across IT, Marketing, and Merchandising
  • Leverage prior and new SEO knowledge to enhance projects that drive solutions for real-world problems
  • Create synergies between Content, Technical, and Link development strategies to increase the performance of the overall SEO program
  • Responsible for consulting and contributing to the company’s global SEO presence
  • Leverage Google Search Console to understand and take tactical action to maintain and improve SEO rankings
  • Measure and analyze the impact of existing functionalities
  • Build strong internal relationships and improve organizational knowledge of SEO
  • Work closely with website analysts to understand the impact of all SEO activities and hurdle rates for new activities
  • Partner with the AutoZone Content and Catalog teams in developing processes that ensure SEO value and optimizations

Requirements:

  • A substantial understanding of technical SEO factors for large eCommerce sites such as site architecture, discoverability, canonicalization and redirects, internal linking, schema, dynamic content, UI/UX, and site audit
  • A solid mastery of interpreting and understanding code, familiarity with modern frameworks (react, stencil, etc.), and implications on SEO Experience using enterprise SEO platforms and tools
  • Minimum of 5 years of SEO experience in a multi-channel retail environment
  • Strong Project Management and leadership skills
  • Expertise with Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, Yext, and preferably, React, WordPress, and Endeca
  • Ahrefs, SEMrush, and SimilarWeb experience
  • Management of third-party relationships, vendors, and SEO agencies
  • Team management experience a plus
  • B2B and B2C experience
