We are seeking a
Director, Content Marketing to help lay the foundation for growth at Fourth. This individual will help build a new content marketing strategy from the ground up. Specifically, the Director will help build a robust content marketing capability within Fourth that will power future digital & customer growth, and they will lead the framing of our content marketing goals, approach, and measurement that drive increases in brand equity, awareness, consideration, traffic, and conversion/retention across digital properties.
As Content Marketing Director, you will work closely with the Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Customer Success Teams to build and drive the strategic vision for an end-to-end content strategy to promote Fourth’s brand, thought leadership and value proposition to the market. You will report to the VP, Marketing and will have content specialists as direct reports.
With our Customer Success Team, you will identify and recruit top-tier customer advocates for case studies and testimonials and foster strategic relationships with customers for various organizational initiatives. You will develop communication programs to keep customers informed about new products and offerings, plan customer advisory events, and build community and engagement through our Fourth Community and Customer Success Portal.

The Role. . .

    • Owning soup-to-nuts content marketing strategy, including the strategic roadmap development, channel plans, operating model definition, identification of needed technology, content and promotion calendar creation, and definition of major KPIs. Collaboration across the marketing team is essential to achieve these goals, working with product marketing, demand gen and marketing operations.
    • Driving strategic vision for a broader content strategy capability, including defining a mixture of internal, external, and agency partnerships; working to inform the creative vision and voice for Fourth’s brand
    • Developing highly creative and effective content and distribution strategies across the web, mobile, social, video, and other multimedia channels that entice key audiences with compelling imagery, messaging, and storytelling
    • Crafting a customer-centric communication plans that educates customers, engages them in our community, increase brand affinity, conversion, and traffic, and ultimately builds confidence in and preference for Fourth as their trusted partner
    • Working with customer success team to identify customers to capture powerful stories about the impact of Fourth products and services on their organizations, packaging and bringing these stories to life via written case studies, testimonials, fireside chats, videos and more.
    • Bringing excellence in thought leadership around content development, engagement practices, measurement, and process.
    • Leading the development and execution of customer engagement events, including roundtables, and customer advisory sessions
    • Building strong collaborative relationships across analytics, SEO, Product, PR, creative, and external agencies, and business teams during fast paced delivery cycles, and ultimately managing the delivery of a content calendar and publishing of regular content.
    • Spearheading the identification, development, and deployment of in-house content creation, guidelines, templates, and processes, as well as sourcing and managing external content partnerships.
    • Charting a learning agenda for content marketing, with a particular focus on driving measurement and highlighting the quantitative impact of content on core KPIs; in partnership with analytics, frame up a robust, quantitative measurement approach to directly tie content to end business outcomes (financial and brand metrics).
    • Painting a picture of the role of content marketing and evangelizing the team’s accomplishments with senior executives, keeping a finger on the pulse of changing priorities within overall enterprise to further orient the team’s direction.

The Ideal Candidate. . .

    • 10+ years of marketing experience in an enterprise/ SaaS environment
    • Strong customer marketing experience and/or role with deep engagement with customers
    • Excellent storytelling skills – the ability to extract key “nuggets” from customer stories to show business impact in a compelling way
    • Excellent writing and editing skills with examples – articles, emails, blog posts
    • The ultimate can-do attitude & growth mindset
    • Executive presence: strong interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with customers and building relationships
    • Experience in Project Management: defining requirements, scoping of project, planning activities
    • Knowledge and experience with CRM (SFDC) and marketing automation tools (Marketo)
