Oozle Media is looking for a Content Manager to help develop and lead digital content strategies for clients nationwide. This role will involve writing and editing digital marketing content for clients, coordinating content fulfillment from various teams and continuing to develop Oozle’s content product to stay up-to-date-with the latest best practices in digital marketing.

Description/Overview: A Content Writer serves as the starting point for the content creation process. The Content Managers job is to train, guide, QA, and support all content creators. All content ideas are developed by a Content Writer, following the client’s strategy and preferences outlined by the Account Manager. The Content Writer is responsible for developing a consistent voice and level of quality for every piece of content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Content Writers play a critical role within the Oozle Media SocialSEO process developing great ideas, producing engaging, relevant content, and keeping a good balance between speed and quality.

The Content Writer works with a team to ensure that unique, engaging and search-friendly content is created on behalf of clients.

Oozle Media’s holistic digital marketing approach means that we aren’t simply trying to gain traffic to a website, or establish social media channels. Our SocialSEO process is designed to generate quality leads, turn those leads into clients and those clients into brand advocates. The Content Writer leads the way in this process working closely with our SEO and Social Media Specialists to execute timely and lead-generating campaigns.


Creativity: A content writer produces between 4-8 unique pieces of content each day – everything from webpage copy to blog posts for clients. A strong desire to create and innovate content is necessary.

Time-keeping: Content Writer jobs are demanding, and as such require a high level of time-keeping skill. Must have the ability to take on extra work, sometimes at the last minute. Being able to work quickly and efficiently to keep schedules is necessary.

Organization: The Content Writer will produce content for 30+ clients, keeping organized is essential.

Journalistic/Research Skills: Ability to research content topics and update targeted keywords based on client preferences and business focus. Execution of content strategy as instructed by the Team Lead. Having the “news nose” and a desire to produce the most timely and engaging work is required.

Communication Skills: The content writer is the starting point of content marketing, receiving and delivering accurate content strategies is essential. Professional and timely communication is a necessary trait for this position.

Technical Skills: The Content Writer must be comfortable working in web-based software systems (content production systems, CMS systems) as well as email tools and basic desktop publishing applications.

Other: As in most jobs, the ability to work under pressure — either in a team or autonomously — is an absolute must. Additionally, must be able to find uniqueness and express creativity in saturated content areas.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Previous Experience: A previous history in editing, writing or proofing is required.

  • All serious applicants will be expected to successfully pass a copy-editing test.

Education: Four-year degree is preferred or relevant experience.
